Martial Arts Class

FAQ

  • My Child needs help controlling their actions. Will Martial Arts help?
Yes! Kids like the physicality of our program (punching, kicking, blocking) so much that they are willing to listen to the mental benefits of the Martial Arts (discipline, self-control, focus, patience). They will learn that class is where they can use their Martial Arts and develop healthy mindsets for school and home. Class is a safe place where they can grow physically and mentally into well-adjusted adults.
  • Can we try it before we sign up?
We always start with a Trial Program to see if we are meeting your needs as a parent. In the Trial Program, Students will learn basic techniques that are paired with mental benefits (balance, self-control, self-discipline). We will teach them about short and long term goal setting and how to achieve those goals with focus and determination.
  • You talk about Character Development and Life Skills; How do you teach that in class?
Our physical fitness curriculum is designed to improve your Child's fitness, strength, and flexibility. Along with these activities are a mental benefit that is paired with it. So Respect, Patience, Discipline, Focus, and Kindness are some of the mental benefits they will learn with these activities.
  • Will my Child get hurt?
We strive to make the classroom as safe as possible. Safety is our number one priority. The truth is, we see much fewer incidents of accidents in our classes, than we do in other sports activities (baseball, football, soccer). Many times, a parent will call us to say their Child can't come to class because they hurt themselves in another sports activity.
